Getting between The Set and the park

The Set is on Hillhurst Avenue near Ambrose Avenue, at the foot of the hills. Hillhurst runs north to Los Feliz Boulevard. Past that intersection, the road continues as Vermont Avenue and then Vermont Canyon Road, climbing into Griffith Park.

To and from the Greek Theatre

The Greek Theatre is at 2700 North Vermont Avenue, about 0.9 mile from the store by car. Head north on Hillhurst Avenue and stay straight onto Vermont Avenue. In light traffic it’s a 3 or 4 minute drive. On show nights, allow extra time.

To and from Griffith Observatory

Griffith Observatory is about 2 miles from the store. Follow the same route north and keep going on Vermont Canyon Road, which becomes Observatory Road near the top. In light traffic it takes about 7 minutes.

Without a car

LADOT’s DASH Observatory/Los Feliz bus connects the Metro B Line’s Vermont/Sunset station with the Greek Theatre and Griffith Observatory. Check LADOT for current schedules and stops. The store is about a mile north of the Vermont/Sunset station on foot.

Cannabis rules for the park and venues

If you’re stopping at The Set before a hike or a show, know the rules before you go:

• No smoking in city parks. Los Angeles bans smoking in all city parks, Griffith Park included. Signs in the park warn of fines up to $1,000. Fire danger in the hills is another reason to take the rule seriously.
• No public consumption. California law doesn’t allow smoking or consuming cannabis in public places, or smoking it anywhere tobacco smoking is banned.
• Check venue rules. Concert venues set their own policies on smoking and what you can bring in. Check the venue’s policy before you go.
• Not in the car. Using cannabis while driving or riding in a vehicle is illegal, and so is having an open container or package in the car. Keep purchases sealed, ideally in the trunk.

Edibles take longer to kick in than smoking, often 30 minutes to 2 hours. They’re still cannabis use, and the same public-place rules apply. Read our edibles guide for timing and dosing.

Hours and parking

We’re open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 9:50 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 9:50 PM, so there’s time to stop in on the way home after an afternoon in the park. The store has 24 on-site parking spaces, free for customers, with entrances on Hillhurst Avenue and Ambrose Avenue. Ramp access is available.

Shopping at The Set

• Walk in or order ahead. Walk-ins are welcome. You can also order from our live menu on Weedmaps and pick up at the store. We don’t deliver.
• Bring ID. Adult-use customers must be 21 or older with a valid government photo ID. Medical customers 18 or older need a valid government ID and a valid physician’s recommendation or county medical ID card.
• Pay with cash or debit. There’s an ATM on site.
